Founded by Nikita, Centered Movement is a boutique studio rooted in the belief that mindful movement is the key to long-term vitality and wellness. Offering a range of practices—including Pilates, Kalaripayattu’s Meithari (body preparative training), and Functional Range Conditioning (FRCms)—our sessions are thoughtfully designed to meet each individual where they are. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned mover, Nikita is committed to helping you build strength, enhance mobility, and cultivate a resilient, balanced body through personalized movement experiences tailored for modern life.
OWNER AND PRINCIPAL INSTRUCTOR
Influenced by her teachers, peers, environment, and extensive travel, Nikita brings a unique sense of empowerment and presence to every class. A skilled Pilates teacher, she offers Matwork, Reformer, and Studio Pilates (including Cadillac, Chair, and Barrels) to individuals and groups, fostering an engaging learning environment while educating clients on fitness, mobility, and holistic wellbeing.
Nikita began her journey as a Pilates enthusiast in a local studio in Mosman and later pursued her Diploma in Professional Pilates Instruction through Pilates ITC, specializing in Mat, Reformer, and Studio equipment.
She is also a certified FRC® Mobility Specialist (FRCms), having trained under the Functional Range Systems in Toronto, Canada, expanding her expertise in joint health and mobility. Her movement practice is further enriched by her study & practice in Kalarippayatt—both Meithari (body preparative practices) and Kolthari (weapon-based movement)—from the CVN Kalari Sangham in Trivandrum, Kerala, India.
In addition to her movement credentials, Nikita is also a qualified Educator, holding a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116), enabling her to share her knowledge and mentor others in the movement and wellness space.
Rooted in technique, inspired by tradition, and shaped by global perspectives, Nikita is committed to delivering intentional, embodied, and personalized movement experiences to all levels.
Previously Nikita had a successful career in Art Direction at major studios in India.

At Centered Movement, every session is deeply personal. Whether you're joining a Pilates class, an FRC-based mobility session, or exploring the dynamic flow of Kalarippayatt (India’s traditional martial art), the focus is always on YOU. We work together to understand how your body moves, what it needs, and how we can restore balance and strength—both physically and mentally.
My Pilates classes are designed to help you refine technique, build strength, and improve alignment. But beyond just movement, they’re about developing awareness—tuning into your body and understanding how it functions. The goal? To leave each session feeling energized, more connected, and better equipped for everything life throws your way.

My light-filled studio is intentionally designed for small groups & personalized sessions in a supportive and calming environment. I offer : Private 1:1 sessions, Duets (2:1) & Semi Private Group Sessions (3:1) Sessions use a variety of Pilates equipment and are tailored in real-time to how you feel the moment you step in—whether you’re dealing with low energy, recovering from a tweak or injury, or ready to challenge yourself. Some days you might move slow and deep. Other days, you might sweat and flow. Either way, we work with your body, never against it.
